About The Ashen Vault

Hello everyone. My name is Rich and I’m the founder of AshenVault.

I love playing RPGs, and I’ve recently gotten into miniature painting. If you haven’t tried that out, might be worth your time to look into!

Perhaps typical of many readers, I played DnD a lot as a kid. Took a break, and then got back into it as an adult. Interestingly, it was Pathfinder that got me back into RPGs.

Specifically, a friend introduced me to the Glass Cannon Podcast. I started listening, my brothers started, cousins, friends, co-workers… you get the idea.

That got us back into actively playing. If you haven’t heard of Glass Cannon, I highly suggest you go listen to their Giantslayer podcast right now. It’s fantastic!

The idea for Ashen Vault started when I first began looking into Pathfinder. It’s pretty shocking to me how hidden all the good information is!

Our goal here is to create helpful, easily digestible, accurate articles that make your game sessions easier.

There are a lot of intricacies to a game as ambitious as an RPG, and we’d like to do our part to make it just a bit easier to follow.

Beyond that, I know I always like to hear other player and DM/GM opinions. I’m doing my best to gather up knowledgeable, active players to help make this a reality.

Feel free to reach out to us if you want something in particular covered! Until then enjoy your time here. We appreciate having you around.

I’ve always loved reading books and writing my own stories. Growing up, exploring fantasy worlds filled with monsters was way more exciting than doing chores or schoolwork! And for me, roleplaying was also about making friends.

These days I find RPGs are a great way to relax and escape the pressures of work and life. My group’s weekly Pathfinder session not only keeps us together, it gives us a chance to exercise our creativity.
